25. OKTOBER – Frauen* Matinée & Zine-Workshop
Am 25. OKTOBER 2025 findet im Ankersaal der Brotfabrik die Frauen*-Matinée statt – ein einzigartiges Kulturformat, das seine Wurzeln im Istanbul der 1960er-Jahre hat. Inspiriert von Tagesveranstaltungen von und für Frauen*, die als Antwort auf die männlich dominierte Gazino-Kultur ins Leben gerufen wurden, bringt die Wiener Ausgabe diesen Brauch zeitgenössisch zurück.

Die Matinée vereint Poesie, Tanz, Performance, Musik, Kampfkunst und Aktivismus. Als sicherer Raum, in dem Frauen* und queere Künstler*innen ihre Stimmen hörbar und ihre Kunst sichtbar machen können, zelebriert sie Diversität und Solidarität.

On October 25, 2025, the Women’s Matinée will take place at the Ankersaal of Brotfabrik — a unique cultural format rooted in 1960s Istanbul. Inspired by daytime events by and for women as an alternative to the male-dominated Gazino culture, the Vienna edition revives this tradition in a contemporary form.

The matinée brings together poetry, dance, performance, music, martial arts, and activism — creating a safe space where women and queer artists can make their voices heard and their artworks visible; a celebration of diversity and solidarity.
